Judy and Bonnie met at a mah jongg tournament several years ago. They became instant friends and through their love of mah jongg and bringing people together, they decided to create Dragons on the Green Mah Jongg (DOTG). In 2016, they decided to form a nonprofit corporation so they could further spread their love of mah jongg to the greater Tampa Bay area community. Through mah jongg  tournaments and teaching mah jongg classes, they are able to donate funds to various charitable organizations that focus on women and the causes that affect them and their families. The tournaments and classes are a mechanism for people of all ages to come together and enjoy themselves, use their cognitive skills, and socialize to enhance their well-being.
